Ram Gopal Varma drew attention by his tweets on Riteish Deshmukh’s plan to make a film on Shivaji

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma drew attention on Thursday, not because his film Sarkar 3 will be released on Friday, but because he tweeted about another Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh’s grand new project on Maratha warrior Shivaji.

And then went on to say that Riteish wants to be pride of Maharashtra as Baahubali is for Andhra Pradesh

And, in subsequent tweets, he even thanked Riteish for venturing to make the ‘greatest Indian film’ ever! He even showered praises on the Maratha Warrior Shivaji and thus raised a question, who he was trying to please!

However, the fact remains that filmmaker Ravi Jadhav will be directing Chhatrapati Shivaji. Jadhav has earlier made movies like Balak-Palak and Sound of Heaven: The Story of Balgandharva.

But Ramu not discussing his own upcoming film Sarkar 3 at all, makes one wonder whether he was too jittery the entire day and so was trying to divert his attention!
