Actor Rajinikanth on Thursday condoled the death of veteran actor Vinod Khanna, and described him as his "dear friend".

Seventy-year-old Khanna died at a Mumbai hospital, where he had been admitted on March 31 for severe dehydration. From politicians to actors to common people, tributes poured down on Twitter. Actor Rishi Kapoor too paid heart felt tribute to the actor friend and pointed out a strange coincidence

As a token of respect for the graceful actor, Karan Johar announced on Twitter that he is cancelling the premier of his much hyped production Baahubali 2, which was scheduled for Thursday night.

Strangely, Amitabh Bachchan who paired with Vinod Khanna in about 10 films, was quiet on Twitter. He reportedly walked out of an interview after hearing the news of his demise to be with his family.

SRK, Devgn battling to tag along with Tubelight

This has happened before too. When Shahrukh Khan’s Jab Tak hai Jaan and Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardar clashed at the box office. Now both have reportedly approached Salman Khan’s banner to attach the trailer of their upcoming films with Salman Khan’s Tubelight, which is scheduled to release on Eid.

Trailers of Shahrukh Khan’s yet-to-be-titled film with Imtiaz Ali and Ajaya Devgan’s Badshaho with Milan Luthria will be attached with Salman’s film if the stars reach an agreement.
