Charu Das

I am the founder and director of CD Foundation. We are into organising cultural and information exchange programmes to promote women and child welfare and development. Towards our end, we collaborate with various embassies and foreign missions in India.

The year 2018 has has been like a bitter-sweet candy for me. On the one hand, we have had some amazing collaborations with countries like Hungary, Spain, the Czech Republic and France. We had a great tour of England and Ireland, under the banner of Incredible India. We are also looking forward next year to some international food and cultural festivals in China and Dubai, for which we expect cooperation from our government.

All hasn’t been hunky-dory though. With the current economic situation, our government needs to be more sensitive about focusing on real issues and avoiding the blame game. I see people around me having a difficult time making enough money, for which they squarely blame the economic policies of the government.
