Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari goes weak in the knees before Anushka Sharma

Manoj Tiwari, who had earlier lectured school teachers on decency and decorum after being requested to sing at an event, sang at Anushka’s feet at a recent event in Varanasi

When a woman teacher respectfully invited the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Delhi head Manoj Tiwari on to the stage and requested him to sing a few lines at a public function in March, Tiwari took offence. Tiwari had back then retorted, “You tell me, if it’s wrong to tell a teacher or a political leader to maintain decorum”.

But the BJP leader--who started his career as Bhojpuri singer, actor and television presenter from Bihar and went on to become a contestant in the reality show Big Boss in 2010 before becoming a politician—was so bewitched by the Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma at a private management institute in Varanasi recently that he went weak in knees and forgot the hard lesson he had taught to the teacher earlier this year.

At Ashoka Institute of Technology and Management in Varanasi this week, he was seen not only crooning Bhojpuri numbers but also dancing along with Shahrukh Khan.

Several videos of the BJP leader singing Bhojpuri song ‘Lollipop Lagelu’ and apparently wooing Anushka at the stairs of the educational institution have been making rounds on social media.

Both the Bollywood stars were in Varanasi to promote their upcoming travel-themed flick and the Delhi BJP chief was their host.

This is how Twitter users reacted to the hypocrisy of the BJP leader, questioning his double standards in their scathing comments:

Not new to controversies, Delhi BJP chief was earlier caught on camera mocking hardships that demonetisation inflicted on people standing in the queues in front of banks and ATMs.
