Congress president Rahul Gandhi, who is on a pilgrimage to Manasarovar, shared a few more pictures of his Kailash Yatra and commented that “It is so humbling to be walking in the shadow of this giant”.

Rahul Gandhi, on a 12-day trip to Kailash Mansarovar, is likely to cover a distance of 60 km on foot.

The breathtaking images that he shared with his tweets set off disparaging remarks from the ruling party members, who have begun to consider themselves as caretakers of ‘Hinduism’.

Rahul Gandhi had tweeted an image of the Rakshas Tal while on his trek on Wednesday.

On September 4, Gandhi had tweeted from his handle that a man goes to Kailash Mansarovar when it calls him. He described the waters as "gentle, tranquil and calm" and said they "give everything and lose nothing"

Gandhi left for the pilgrimage on August 31, fulfilling a vow he had made in April after his aircraft developed an “unexplained technical snag” and descended several hundred feet while he was en route to an election rally in Karnataka.
