Calling Prime Minister Modi’s speech during the debate on vote of the no-confidence, a “Dramebazi,” leader of the Congress party in Lok Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge said that the PM did not respond to the questions asked by the Opposition parties. Instead, he performed Dramebazi for 30 minutes, said Kharge.

“Did he say anything on Rafale deal in his speech?” asked Kharge while talking to reporters outside Parliament after trust vote. He said PM talked of unnecessary things in his speech.

“We posed questions on Rafale deal, Nirav Modi etc but he did not answer any. Instead, he spoke about former Prime Ministers...He presented some statistics and talked about 70 years of the Congress rule but did not say anything what his government has done in 4 years. His whole speech was full of Dramebazi. He did not say anything for the people of Andhra Pradesh. Did he?” questioned Kharge.

Referring to PM’s speech in which he attacked Gandhi family by calling them “egoist,” Kharge said Modi as a person, himself is full of ego

Kharge said PM is a victim of his own ego.

Referring to PM’s speech in which he attacked Gandhi family by calling them “egoist,” Kharge said Modi as a person, himself is full of ego. “His saying - the Opposition parties should bring no-confidence motion against him again in 2024 - shows that he is a victim of his own ego,” taunted Kharge.

After an intense day-night debate, Modi led NDA government has though won the no-confidence motion but Rahul won the hearts, said an analyst.

While 126 supported the no-confidence move, 325 defended it. In total, 415 members of the Lok Sabha took part in the no-confidence vote. Contrary to the earlier reports, no party abstained from the voting.

During the 12-hours marathon session Lok Sabha witnessed many moments of heated argument, drama, emotion and severe criticism. It saw the government and the opposition trading charges against each other on one hand, Rahul Gandhi hugging Prime Minister on the other.

Worth to mention, it was 27th no-confidence motion in the Parliamentary history of India, and the the first to be admitted in last 15 years. The last no-confidence motion was moved in 2003 against then prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee by the Congress party. Interestingly, that too was defeated by the NDA.
