It was a vacation and Melissa Brunning felt motivated seeing the beautiful sea all around in Dugung Bay, Australia. Perched on a yacht she thought of feeding the sharks circling around it.

Within seconds, she realised that she has committed a grave mistake. It was going to be a fatal mistake but fortunately, she was immediately pulled back by her friends from the shark who dragged her into water by her hand.

The shocking incident was recorded by Melissa’s friend and posted on social media on Tuesday. It soon became viral. Melissa later said in an interview to NDTV that it was a silly act on her part with consequences and should not be seen as an attack by the shark.

The video which has now become viral can be seen here:

She sustained minor injuries but that has not deterred her from completing her vacation. But she has now realised her mistake and admitted that her over enthusiasm for feeding the sharks was wrong.
