While the tension was on as two intense matches were being played in London there was a light hearted moment on Twitter as the official accounts of Wimbledon and ICC engaged in friendly banter

London was the hub of historic sporting events on Sunday evening as two major sporting events produced some nerve wrecking action.

At Wimbledon, two giants of tennis, Novak Djokovic defeated Roger Federer in five sets 7-6 (5), 1-6, 7-6 (4), 4-6, 13-12 (3) to retain his Wimbledon title.

Whereas in Mecca of Cricket, England and New Zealand produced nail biting thriller in which the hosts England came out on top on the basis of number of boundaries (22 fours and two sixes compared to 14 fours and two sixes) scored after the scores after fifty overs and indeed the super over were tied.

While the tension was on both the grounds there was a light hearted moment on Twitter as the official accounts of Wimbledon and ICC engaged in friendly banter.


Things took a rather stressful turn in the final few minutes of the two matches. A Twitter conversation between Wimbledon and ICC’s Twitter accounts exchanged thoughts over it.


The two matches kept sports enthusiasts at the edge of their seat.
