With a prediction record currently better than Paul the Octopus, Achilles the cAT has made his fifth prediction in the match between Argentina and Nigeria. Achilles says Nigeria will emerge victorious. If the cat’s clean-sheet is maintained at the end of the day today, the Lionel Messi-led Argentina will be out of the FIFA World Cup from the group stage itself. It could also be the last time the world sees Messi play in a World Cup final.

The white-furred Hermitage cat has till now correctly predicted the outcomes of four matches held at St Petersburg; a Russia win in the opening clash of world cup 2018 between the hosts and Saudi Arabia, an Iran win over Morocco, Russia defeating Egypt and a Brazilian victory against Costa Rica.

Paul the Octopus had a 85% success rate predicting outcomes of the 2010 World Cup matches and Achilles the cat till now has maintained 100%. If his cent percent record is maintained or if it comes down to 80% remains to be seen as Argentina will take on Nigeria at 11.30 IST tonight.
