Pro Kabaddi 2019 is set to resume on Wednesday after a day break. UP Yoddha and Bengal Warriors, will play their first match this season, against each other at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad on July 24 at 7:30 PM IST.

UP and Bengal both made it to the playoffs last season but couldn’t make it to the semi finals.

In the seventh season, both PKL teams have some exciting additions, in particular, UP Yoddha's raiding unit which has Rishank Devadiga, Monu Goyat and Shrikant Jadhav.

The biggest strength for UP Yoddha will be their indomitable raiding of Rishank Devadiga, Monu Goyat and the dependable Shrikanth Jadhav who was quite impressive in the sixth season. Mohsen Maghsoudlou too is another player to look out for.

In defense, they have Nitesh Kumar, who is also going to lead the side for this season. Young Sumit or all-rounder Sachin Kumar will be there to partner with him to partner with him. Amit is expected to play in the left cover position while Narender will slot into the right cover position.


Bengal Warriors' biggest buy at the auction was Iranian all-rounder Mohammad Nabibakhsh for ₹77 Lakh and he will be expected to share raiding along with Maninder Singh, after having made a huge impact in the All-Stars match before the start of the tournament. K Prapanjan also offers valuable raiding power to Bengal.

Jeeva Kumar will have to lead this young defensive unit of the Warriors. Baldev Singh can take the left corner while either Adarsh T or Rinku Narwal can settle for the left corner position. Jeeva is expected to play at the left cover position while Vijin Thangadurai could play in right cover position.
