Football: Sudeva FC gets AIFF approval to be part of I-League 

Sudeva FC will be the first and only club to play in I-League from Delhi in the upcoming league season

Sudeva FC will be the first and only club to play in I-League from Delhi in the upcoming league season.

Football Delhi thanked AIFF for considering the bid of Sudeva FC and granting a direct entry to Sudeva FC in I-League.

Sudeva FC was earlier known as Moonlight FC, the current management of the club took control of the club in 2016 and Sudeva is keeping the track record of Moonlight alive by doing fabulous work for the development of football in Delhi.

Moonlight FC has been part of Delhi football structure since 1960s and have won Delhi league titles on a few occasions. The club founders will be proud to see Sudeva FC playing at the national level.

President Football Delhi Shaji Prabhakaran stated, “It is indeed a red letter day in the history of football in Delhi that a grand old club from Delhi will be part of I-League. The significance of this one decision by AIFF is going to be immense in changing the face of football in the Capital City. My heartfelt congratulations to Sudeva FC management and entire team for achieving this and giving Delhi an opportunity to celebrate and get inspired by the Committee work the club has undertaken to develop football in general and youth players in particular..” I also take this opportunity to express my gratitude to AIFF leadership for granting Sudeva FC the opportunity to be part of I-League."


He also thanked AIFF leadership for giving Sudeva FC this opportunity and added that Football Delhi will work closely with Sudeva FC and extend all possible support to make the club successful in its journey.
