Urdu has nothing to do with Islam. Pre-partition Punjab, Perso-Arabic Urdu was script of schools 2. Paper Vande Mataram started by Lala Lajpatrai who was an Arya Samaji & whose father was an Urdu teacher 3. Lahore was a mixed city in 1931, with Hindus+Sikh majority v Muslims
