Much to the delight of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) fans, captain Virat Kohli returned to training with the rest of the squad ahead of their first match against Eoin Morgan-led Kolkata Knight Riders on September 20 in Abu Dhabi as IPL 2021's second phase resumes.

As soon as Virat Kohli stepped into ground for his training session on Friday, he first met his dear friend AB de Villiers after he completed his six-day quarantine period. The bond was evident between the two and this would be a treat for all RCB fans who have waited for this moment.

The ex-SA cricketer was in Dubai before Kohli and had started training. Kohli, who was in the UK, landed in Dubai last week and has just started his training with the side. Apart from Virat and seamer Mohammed Siraj, a few other foreign players too had their first hit in the RCB nets after finishing their quarantine.

RCB's official Twitter handle shared the atmosphere in the camp ahead of the resumption of IPL 2021 in the UAE:

"There were smiles, hugs, and laughter in the RCB camp as captain Virat Kohli, Mohammed Siraj and some of our foreign players had their first hit in the nets," read the tweet captioned as under RCB's Bold Diaries series.

The two players would be the key for RCB’s chances in the ongoing season of the IPL. Kohli’s RCB has a solid chance of making the playoffs with a couple of wins. With five wins, they already have 10 points from seven games and occupy the third spot in the points table.

In the ongoing 14th season of the IPL, RCB is sitting in the third position on the points table, only behind Delhi Capitals (DC) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
