In a horrific incident, a fire broke out at a flat in an apartment complex in Devarachikkanahalli near Bannerghatta Road on Tuesday evening, leaving an aged mother and her daughter dead. A few videos of the incident have gone viral on internet.


In viral videos, recorded by bystanders, woman can be seen screaming for help from the balcony that was barricaded. Towards the end, she is seen on fire herself.

According to news reports, the incident took place in Ashrith Aspire apartment. The fire broke out at an apartment at Bannergatta Road at Devarachikkanahalli in Bengaluru on September 21 afternoon and LPG explosion was said to be the reason.

The woman's husband reportely tried to save them but was dragged out by the neighbours, he also sustained severe burns. Some others were also injured.

The deceased have been identified as Bhagyarekha, 59, and her mother Lakshmidevi, 82.
