‘Good News’, Delhi Ranks 62 In the List of World’s Best Cities For 2021

Delhi has been placed at the 62nd position and is the only Indian city to feature in the list of the world’s best cities for 2021

The ranking has been done by Resonance Consultancy Limited, a Vancouver-based company which has specialties in destination development, branding, marketing, design, tourism, data, and travel reports.

100 cities worldwide with a population of over 10 lakhs, were taken into consideration. The ranking was based on 25 factors such as weather, a number of check-ins and social media hashtags, diversity, and the number of tourist parks and attractions.

Last year, Delhi was at the 81st position and has significantly improved its ranking this year.


Delhi deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia’s took to his Twitter handle to share the report. He wrote: "Congratulations to all the proud people of Delhi and @ArvindKejriwal for the leadership. Our beloved Delhi is ranked 62 in World's Best cities. The only Indian city in the list."

Retweeting Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia's post, Kejriwal wrote, "Such good news for all Dilliwalas. All Dilliwalas have worked so hard in the last six years to make it happen. The world is noticing the positive changes happening in Delhi.

Apart from Delhi, the other cities that have been featured in the list include San Francisco, Amsterdam, Rome, Washington DC, Abu Dhabi, Toronto, Prague, St Petersburg, among others.

The world’s 10 best cities for 2021 are London, New York, Paris, Moscow, Tokyo, Dubai, Singapore, Barcelona, Los Angeles, and Madrid.
