25 year old Sruthy Sithara, who is from Kerala has recently bagged the title of Miss Trans Global 2021.

Sruthy Sithara won the title on 1st December through an online event, as the physical event, which was supposed to take place in London this year, was canceled due to the pandemic.

Sruthy Sithara, who worked as a project assistant in Kerala government’s Social Justice Department, was representing India at the pageant for the last six months and with this achievement she has become the first Indian to win this title.

Miss Trans Global is an international pageant for trans and gender-nonconforming people from all backgrounds where they can showcase their talent. The aim of the pageant is to raise awareness on transgender and LGBTQ community issues around the world.

She represented herself as an artist and a model in the pageant and beat her co-contestants from the Philippines and Canada to win the spot.

Sruthy Sithara has dedicated her title to her late mom and Kerala's 1st transgender RJ Anannyah Kumari Alex, who died by suicide in July this year.

To normalize LGBTQ community, Sruthy Sithara has also started an online campaign called ''The Kaleidoscope'', so that they get the social acceptance they deserve. And with her latest achievement she has made the entire nation, especially the LGBTQ+ community proud.
