An alert Railway Protection Force (RPF) cop helped to save the life of a disabled man as he made an attempt to board a moving train and slipped in Maharashtra's Panvel station on February 5.

In the clip, which is going viral on social media, a disabled man ran towards a moving train as the vehicle left Panvel station. While the man attempted to board the train and he almost slipped. The RPF cop, on duty, rushed to the spot and pulled the man aside onto the station, and thereby saved his life.

Railway Minister Piyush Goyal posted CCTV footage of the incident and applauded the police officer for saving the man's life. Moreover, the Union Minister directed citizens to follow guidelines as otherwise; it could lead to fatal accidents.

"In Panvel, an alert RPF official took swift action to save a disabled man's life. Boarding a moving train is dangerous as it could lead to a fatal accident. Your life is priceless. Please follow guidelines and stay safe," Piyush Goyal said in his post in Hindi.


Soon after Railway Minister shared the video, it went viral viral on social media with almost 50,000 views so far. Several social media users praised the RPF cop and deemed him as a "real hero". Here are some of the reactions :
