The Married Woman, an adaptation of Manju Kapur's novel is making waves on OTT platforms this week. The web series stands out for its theme involving gender politics, its nuanced dialogues and its raw aesthetics.

The screenplay has been written by two women writers Surabhi Saran and Jaya Mishra. The promos have strong feminist undertone. The dialogues in the promos are reflective and complex. They highlight sensitive understanding of gender and sexuality.  The title song ‘Bematlab’ , sung by Arpita Bagchi demands a special mention.

Streaming on ZEE5, the ALTBalaji web series has been directed by Sahir Raza and tends to break many stereotypes.
