The spot-on reaction of the CISF jawan has made him a social media celebrity after he saved the life of a 45-year-old man who fell unconscious at a Delhi Metro station by administering the cardiopulmonary resuscitation procedure on him. CISF constable Vikas was on duty at Dabri metro station around 6:50 pm when the incident happened. CCTV footage of the incident is doing rounds on social media.

In the 22-second clip, a man can be seen standing beside the CISF jawan is seen shivering and collapsing to the ground suddenly. The constable gave the man CPR and saved his life. CPR is basically an emergency procedure when the heart of the patient stops beating.

“The constable noticed that the passenger was unconscious and not breathing properly, and due to the sudden fall had sustained injury to his face/mouth. Immediately, he started giving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to the passenger,” the CISF said in a statement.

Soon after CISF shared this video on their official Twitter handle, internet users started praising the CISF official for his prompt action.

One Twitter user wrote: “Hats off to the jawan but we all should learn basic thing such as CPR! What if a doc or trained personnel wasn't there?? Just saying...I am definitely learning this now.”

Another user praised the jawan as “Hero without cape. Brilliant.”

“Kudos to CISF personnel for timely intervention by giving CPR and saving his life” wrote another user on Twitter.

After regaining consciousness, the man identified himself as Satyanarayan and said that he was a resident of Delhi’s Janakpuri. Later, the Delhi Metro Rail Police and an ambulance were called.
