A rather sweet and emotional moment was captured on camera in Kerala’s Wayanad when Congress leader Rahul Gandhi met the nurse, who had witnessed his birth 51 years back. Notably, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi met Rajamma Vavathil during his trip to Kerala's Wayanad earlier this week and a video of their interaction has gone viral on social media after it was tweeted by Kerala Congress.

Rajamma, a retired nurse, was on duty at Delhi's Holy Family Hospital, when Rahul Gandhi was born on June 19, 1970. She held Rahul in her hands as a newborn soon after his birth.

In the video, Rajamma greeted Rahul Gandhi, who was seated in his car. Rajamma was simply overjoyed to see Rahul and blessed him with good wishes and love. She also presented him with a packet of sweets.

The heart warming video of Rajamma expressing her love towards the Congress leader was shared by the Congress party’s Kerala unit on Twitter with the caption, ”The wholesome love and affection from Rajamma Amma who was a nurse at Delhi’s holy family hospital where Shri @RahulGandhi was born”.

The video has gone viral on social media with several likes and retweets.
