Sharing his joy on receiving overwhelming responses from all over he says, "The response to the show is more important to me. Thankfully, both Candy and Luka have been appreciated. I’m grateful to the viewers. My mother is excited as any other mother would be. My father and I were smiling. He took me aside and asked “how thirsty are you to improve son?" The answer is that I want to be a better actor."

I have been constantly talking to my writers, they are confident about the show, I’m just so happy for Agrim Ashish and Debo. They deserve all the love."

When quizzed on how Candy is different from other conventional thrillers he said, "Candy is a complete package, it’s not just a thriller. To me, the USP of the show is its intricate writing and sensitive direction. It grips you with one twist after another."

He also talked about the challenges of shooting on mountains in extreme weather,"Shooting in the mountains specially in winter is challenging for obvious reasons. The weather was very cold and there were scenes where I was actually shivering before the shot. Fun fact is that Luka is wearing gloves almost through out the show because I just couldn’t take the gloves off in the earlier schedule so they asked me to carry on and wear it through out. It was fun too, spending 45 days in Nainital with the unit created a very strong bond between the team. Our crew took great care of us and made it much easier for me to just focus on the work."
