In a damning indictment of Modi government, specifically, Ministry of Home Affairs which is responsible for maintaining law and order in Delhi, an inquiry report released by Progressive Medicos and Scientists Forum claimed that “testicles of a young man were chopped off by men reportedly shouting Jai Shri Ram” during the Delhi riots.

According to the report that was released on Tuesday, “even though government ambulances were stationed on the main highway, they were not allowed inside” resulting in enormous loss of lives and enhanced sufferings for those who were injured during the violence.

“Nearly seventy-five per cent of the cases were those who had sustained piercing injuries either from pellets or bullets. ”

Highlighting communal bias of Delhi Police, the report mentions a particular instance when a young man with the fractured skull was being rushed to the office but the policemen stationed near a barricade beat up victim’s kin saying, “They have killed our two-three people. Let 10-15 people die.”

Pointing out a conspiracy and an attempt to tamper with the post-mortem report, the report asserted that even when the dead bodies pile up in the GTB hospital mortuary, doctors were not performing post-mortem as they waited for the instructions from higher authorities.

“Even as the dead bodies in the GTB hospital mortuary were mounting, the hospital authorities failed to perform the post-postmortems of these bodies within time, as they were waiting for ‘instructions’  from the government, indicating the possibility of attempting to tamper with the cause of death”.
