With five fresh COVID-19 infections, Ladakh's tally of cases has climbed to 20,560, while active cases in the Union Territory stand at 69, officials said on Wednesday.
Since the outbreak of the pandemic last year, Ladakh has registered 207 Covid-related deaths -- 149 in Leh district and 58 in Kargil district. No death from COVID-19 was reported in the Union Territory on Tuesday, they said.

Petroleum companies increase the price of domestic LPG cylinders by Rs 25, taking the price of a non-subsidized 14.2 kg cylinder in Delhi to Rs 884.50. New rates are effective from today. Price of 19-kg commercial cylinder also increased by Rs 75, which will cost Rs 1693 in Delhi, ANI reported.
According to the Health Ministry, India has reported 41,965 cases, 33,964 recoveries & 460 deaths in the last 24 hours, ANI reported. This takes the total number of cases to 3,28,10,845, with currently there being 3,78,181 active cases. The total recoveries stand at 3,19,93,644, while the death toll is 4,39,020. Besides this, 1,33,18,718 people have been vaccinated in the last 24 hours, taking the total to 65,41,13,508.
The Srinagar Sector Central Reserve Police Force said that they and Ganderbal Police have recovered rounds of AK-47, along with two magazines, loose 9mm rounds, various other rounds and several hand grenades, early in the morning from Sadra Bagh forest area, ANI reported
