Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's health condition has 'not deteriorated' but he has not shown any 'improvement' either, a source told National Herald on Friday.

Lalu Prasad Yadav was shifted earlier from Birsa Munda Jail in Ranchi to the All India Institute for Medical Sciences in Delhi. He has been admitted in room number 101, old ward, AIIMS for treatment.

''He is not critical but his condition is cause or worry for us,'' a highly placed RJD source to NH.

Sources said that he is suffering from various ailments such as high blood pressure and diabetes, but an infection in his stomach has created serious trouble. Due to the infection, Lalu is running a high fever.

The Ranchi High Court has asked the AIIMS administration to submit a report on his health. RJD leaders are hopeful that the judiciary will show some leniency and he will be granted bail on health grounds.
