Girl in JNU violence video was Delhi University’s Komal Sharma, claims an audio

The Delhi Police has not been able to arrest any of the 100 Goons of Vidyarthi Parishad who attacked JNU, while the photos and videos of their covered faces have been widely circulating on social media. Meanwhile an audio has emerged which is considered the audio of the girl, named Komal Sharma who can be seen in the video of three students whose faces are covered and they are armed with sticks and rods. In the audio, the girl who is allegedly a Delhi University student called Komal Sharma can be heard saying “Dev, please don't tell anyone that you saw me, because my photo has gone viral".

After the girl admits that her photo has become viral the other person says “ Oh, as far as I remember I saw you today. You were wearing the shirt with red and white checks naa?” Komal answers in affirmative. Then the male voice says, “ I waved at you too. You were on the side of Munirka naa?” The girl again answers in affirmative and then gives the above-mentioned information, to which the male voice says, do not worry.

Former DU student leader Kavalpreet Kaur has tweeted the screenshot of the entire chat with this audio. After the girl admits that her photo has become viral the other person says , “ Oh, as far as I remember I saw you today. You were wearing the shirt with red and white checks naa?” Komal answers in affirmative. Then the male voice says, “ I waved at you too. You were on the side of Munirka naa?” The girl again answers in affirmative and then gives the above-mentioned information, to which the male voice says, do not worry.

It’s important to note here that the girl’s photo has gone viral on all the social media platforms in which she is wearing a shirt of red and white checks, her face is covered with a shawl and she is armed with a rod. The photo also shows some boys armed with sticks and rods.

36 people have been injured in this entire incident. Four of the injured have suffered head injuries. 31 out of 36 injured are students. Apart from this, two teachers and two guards have also been injured.
