Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the biggest liar of them all?

Barely a month ago, the BJP manifesto for Jharkhand claimed that rolling out the National Register of Citizens in the country was a BJP promise and achievement. The President of India Ramnath Kovind had also spoken of the NRC getting rolled out in the country. So did the Home Minister Amit Shah.

But on Sunday, PM Modi said at Ramlila Maidan that since 2014, his Government had never even discussed the NRC.

· The assurance of Prime Minister on NRC sounds hollow, because HM Mr. Shah contradicts this very claim. It is worth recollecting the claims made during the time of demonetization; "give me 50 days", ending counterfeits, black money, terrorism etc. Well, we all know what happened.: Pinarayi Vijayan

· A month ago, #NRC was in the BJP's election manofesto for the Jharkhand elections. So who's the liar? Obviously, the prime one.: Ranjona Banerjee

· First they said CAB will be followed by NRC.

Then they said CAA has nothing to do with NRC.

Now they are said they never said anything about NRC.

· PM said that the Nationwide NRC country isn’t in the works at all. Only a day ago, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs released a document that gives concrete opinions about how the NRC will be implemented across the country.
