The Madhya Pradesh Police has registered an FIR against BJP minister and the party’s candidate from Anuppur seat Bisahulal Singh for making derogatory remarks against the Congress candidate’s wife.
The minister referred to the wife of Congress’ candidate from Anuppur Vishwanath Singh Kunjan as a ‘rakhail’ (‘kept’ woman). As the video of his derogatory statement went viral, Kunjan filed a complaint before the Anuppur police. The police registered an FIR against the BJP minister on Tuesday under Section 294 and 506 of the IPC.

Kunjam’s first wife had reportedly died and he is currently living with his second wife. In the affidavit filed before the Election Commission with the nomination form, the Congress leader had written the name of his second wife, against whom the minister made the offensive remark.
