BJP MP and former cricketer Gautam Gambhir was trolled heavily on social media after he criticised Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over the COVID situation in the national capital.

“No vision, no direction. Delhi is dying. If you have any SHAME, then RESIGN Arvind Kejriwal,” wrote Gambhir.

The netizens were quick to draw comparisons between Delhi and rest of the country and bring about the irony that the BJP-led Centre has also not been able to anything concrete to tackle the second wave of the deadly pandemic. Moreover, the MP and former cricketer himself is busy in commentary for the ongoing IPL matches.

The anger of the hapless Delhi residents erupted at the casual, criticising remark. The netizens too pointed out that Gambhir himself is busy with the cricket commentary. Here are some of the reactions on Twitter:

Reacting to the tweet by Gautam Gambhir, actor Nakul Mehta wrote, “Sheer irony of THIS statement”

“Please continue doing IPL commentary. There are 2 matches today. You must be busy and don't forget to check if there are more election rallies to attend,” wrote an apparently angry Twitter user Rahul Jadhav

“If you have some SHAME then stop showing your face doing IPL commentary on TV everyday,” wrote another user.
