CJP threatens Jaipur dharna over ‘buffalo shed’ school, attack on team
TV footage appears to show children sitting amid cattle feed as CJP demands action against those who allegedly attacked its team

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder and convenor Abhijeet Dipke on Friday, 21 August warned of an escalation in Jaipur, saying he would sit on a dharna if repair work at a government school in Jaipur district did not begin and those accused of attacking a CJP team were not arrested within 48 hours.
The warning came after CJP co-convenor Ashutosh Ranka and other activists were allegedly confronted by locals when they attempted to visit a primary school in Rampura-Kanwarpura village.
Dipke alleged that Ranka and his team were attacked because they were trying to expose the condition of the school, which he described as a "buffalo shed" where children were being taught. "I will go to Jaipur if the school repair work doesn't begin and the BJP goons are not arrested within the next 48 hours," Dipke said in a video message. He also called on supporters to join him if the demands were not met.
Ranka separately alleged that the attackers were "goons summoned by the BJP". The allegations could not be independently verified.
A separate video shared by Dipke shows footage from an ABP Live television report on the school. The footage appears to show children sitting in a broken down classroom amid sacks and piles of what appears to be cattle feed. In the report, the journalist repeatedly questions school authorities about the condition of the premises, while those authorities ask him to leave.
The footage provides a visual account of the conditions inside the school, though it does not independently establish whether the material visible in the room was being used as cattle feed, why it was stored there or whether children were routinely taught in that particular space.
The controversy comes as the CJP, which launched its 'School Thik Karo' campaign on 15 August, has begun visiting government schools to highlight what it describes as poor infrastructure and neglect.
Dipke has also demanded the withdrawal of a circular that allegedly prohibits people from photographing or filming damaged schools.
The CJP's escalation threat is significant because the outfit's earlier campaign at Jantar Mantar over the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak culminated in a much larger political confrontation and the eventual resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan on 25 July.
