Saharanpur: appalling tales of violence against Dalits

NH Photo Twenty-one-year-old Nitin was attacked with a sword on Wednesday morning when he was on his way to work at the brick kiln. His condition is critical. His brother Sonu says that he is the sole bread earner for the family. Nitin was attacked near Mora village, 3 km away from the place where Dalits were attacked on Tuesday evening
Gyanendra, a social activist says, “Dalit Muslims have been targeted in this attack. Thakurs are killing them one by one. Yesterday when they were attacked a police van (dial 100) was also seen there. The number of the van was UP32040979.”
As reported earlier, one person was killed and at least 13 were injured in a fresh spate of violence in Saharanpur on Tuesday. The victims were reportedly assaulted when they were returning after attending a rally by BSP chief Mayawati in Shabbirpur village.
