Entertainment: Meet Anushka’s Pari on February 9

Actress Anushka Sharma’s third production and her upcoming film Pari, will hit theatres on February 9, 2018.

She took to Twitter to announce the release date. Besides the release date, the actress also unveiled another look of her character from the film.

Pari is being produced by Anushka’s Clean Slate Films and co-produced by KriArj Entertainment.

“It’s not only about creating a good premise, but also about developing it properly. Pari is one more step in that direction,” said Karnesh Sharma of Clean Slate Films.

The mysterious love story is being directed by debutant Prosit Roy. Pari also stars Bengali actor Parambrata Chatterjee.

Salman Khan to do cameo in Judwaa 2

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will be a part of the remake of the 1997 hit Judwaa. He confirmed this on his Twitter account.

The picture includes David Dhawan, Taapsee Pannu, Jacqueline Fernandez, producer Sajid Nadiadwala along with Salman Khan.

Varun Dhawan also shared a post and captioned it.. “judwaa2 just got bigger. Shot with my childhood hero @beingsalmankhan. I’ve grown old but he’s the same. Can’t wait SEPT 29th.”

Varun Dhawan is reprising the role of Salman Khan in the sequel. The flick is slated to release on September 29.

Harshdeep, Javed will sing “Hawa Badlo” anthem

Harshdeep Kaur, an Indian playback singer has been roped in to sing the anthem of Hawa Badlo, an initiative to raise awareness about air pollution.

The anthem, Hawa Badlo is a campaign, brought together by enthusiasts at Social Cloud Ventures Pvt Ltd. The anthem is made to inspire people and create mass awareness.

“I just want to urge not just Delhi but every other city in the country to take measures to minimise air pollution. It's great to be associated with a social cause and let music spread a social message like this,” said Harshdeep.

Harshdeep and Javed Ali will sing the duet with the lyrics by Protiqe Majumdar and music by Bishakh Jyoti.

Jagga Jasoos is an original film, says Ranbir

Ranbir Kapoor has refused the claims of similarities between Jagga Jasoos and Tintin, saying the upcoming movie is an original story.

For taking references from the Charlie Chaplin movie The Adventurer and The Notebook, the film’s director Anurag Basu had previously come under scrutiny during 2012 film Barfi.

When asked if he was confident about Jagga Jasoos amid comparisons with Tintin, Ranbir said, “You cannot be confident till the film comes out. The film releases and the audience see it. But, yes it was unfortunate that people thought that Barfi had a lot of references. I think Dada (Basu), due to that experience, made sure that he made a film which will not remind you of any previous things. It's a very original film and I'm very excited about it,”said Ranbir, who was in the capital to promote his action-adventure movie alongside co-star Katrina Kaif.

The actor said the film may have been in development for the last three-and-a-half years but at the end of the day what matters is how well it does on the big screen.

This is Ranbir and Katrina's third film together and Ranbir said they both have been lucky in terms of doing films with each other. The film will release on Friday.
