Rahul Gandhi to do a road show as poll fever rises in Madhya Pradesh 

Congress President Rahul Gandhi will address a meeting of Congress leaders in state capital Bhopal on September 17 and hold a road show, ahead of assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh due this November

Congress President Rahul Gandhi is arriving in Bhopal on Monday, September 17 for a day-long visit to address a meeting of Congress leaders, including sitting and former MPs, MLAs, people’s representatives of local bodies, office-bearers and party workers, in the city. Rahul Gandhi will also hold a road show.

The Congress chief is expected to launch the party’s campaign for the assembly elections in the state, due two months from now. The visit is aimed at energising the party workers. State Congress chief Kamal Nath said that Rahul Gandhi will interact with party workers at the meeting. A T-shaped ramp-like podium has been constructed at the meeting venue to enable Rahul to move among the workers while interacting with them.

Meanwhile, the state Congress, on Saturday, September 15 mounted a major protest in the state capital to oppose the spike in fuel prices. The Congress workers wanted to present a bicycle to the chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, however the police stopped them on the way.
