A man quarantined at the Lok Nayak Jaiprakash (LNJP) Hospital here allegedly jumped from a building to escape, fracturing his legs in the process, police said on Sunday.
Sharafat Ali, aged 37, is a resident of one of the DDA flats on Mata Sundari Road under the IP police station.
Delhi Police Central District DCP Sanjay Bhatia said that Ali was admitted to the central Delhi hospital on March 31 on susupicion that he had contracted coronavirus.
Around 11.30 pm on Saturday, he fell from the third floor of a hospital building under mysterious circumstances and broke both his legs. His corona test reports are yet to come in.
Doctors treating him said that he was stable.
The police officer said Ali was not connected to the Tablighi Jamaat.

An 82-year-old man from Jaipur became the fifth casualty in Rajasthan due to coronavirus, confirmed health officials here, adding that six new cases have been reported on Sunday taking the total tally to 210 in the state.
The deceased was a resident of Mehro ka rasta chokdi Ram Chandra ji ki Ghat gate, Jaipur. He was admitted on April 4 at medicine unit 3/burn unit, SMS hospital, Jaipur and passed away on April 5 at 12.16 a.m., Additional Chief Secretary Rohit Kumar Singh.
Meanwhile, the six new corona cases reported on Saturday include a 40-year male who travelled from Dubai on March 20 to Jaipur, second is a 48-year-old male, who is a Tablighi Jamaat member, and third is another male of the same age, but both are from Jhunjhunu, the fourth is 25-year-old male contact of Tablighi from Bikaner, the fifth and the sixth are 28-year-old and 69-year-old males who are from Dausa and are close contacts of Tablighi, said Additional Chief Secretary Rohit Kumar Singh.

With 75 more people being confirmed positive for the Coronavirus in Uttar Pradesh in the past 24 hours, the total number of Corona cases in the state has risen to 257.
Of the total cases, at least 98 are linked to the Tablighi Jamaat congregation in Delhi.
The state's count on Friday was 177 and two people -- one each in Basti and Meerut -- have died.
According to Principal Secretary (Medical and Health) Amit Mohan Prasad, there has been a steep rise in the cases in the past two days, primarily because of a number of those linked to the Tablighi Jamaat testing positive.

The Union Health Ministry on Sunday said 77 deaths were reported across the country due to Coronavirus, and the total number of cases so far has risen to 3,374.
In the 9 a.m. update, the Ministry said as of now, 3,030 cases are active while 266 people have been cured and discharged.
One person has migrated while 77 have died due to the virus, the Ministry said.
Over 33 percent cases are linked to Tablighi Jamaat congregation in Delhi's Nizamuddin area.
Till Saturday evening, the cases were 3,072 while 75 deaths were reported.

The number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan might be over 50,000 by the end of April — 2,392 critical patients needing intensive care, 7,024 serious patients and 41,482 others who would have mild symptoms and just require isolation at their homes, the Supreme Court was informed.
In a report submitted to the apex court on Saturday, the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination (NHSRC), however, explained that these figures were mere projections based on assumptions made from trends of the outbreak in other countries, reports Dawn news.

Budget passenger carrier AirAsia India on Saturday said that passengers can continue to make their bookings for flights that wil be operated from April 15 onwards.
"If at all there is any change based on the direction provided by the regulator, we will abide to the policies and notify guests accordingly," a spokesperson of the airline said.
At present, no foreign or domestic passenger flight operations are allowed till April 14.

Spain recorded a second successive daily drop in coronavirus-related deaths with 809 fatalities, official figures showed Saturday.
The total number of deaths in Spain now stands at 11,744, second only to Italy. A record 950 people died on Thursday.

More than 89,300 COVID-19 cases and at least 1,250 deaths have been registered as of Saturday afternoon across Germany, according to evaluations of a local media outlet which took into account the latest figures from all federal states.
The confirmed cases increased by 5,600 from the previous day, and the deaths by 147, Xinhua reported.
Helge Braun, head of the Federal Chancellery, told the Saturday edition of the Frankfurter Allgemeine that the peak of the COVID-19 crisis in Germany has not yet been reached, and "the time with the highest infection numbers is still ahead of us."

The total deaths of COVID-19 in the US topped 8,000 as of 2.30 p.m. on Saturday (local time), according to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University.
A total of 8,098 people have died of the pandemic among 300,000 confirmed cases in the country, the CSSE said, Xinhua reported.
