A Delhi court has issued bailable warrants against BJP leader Kapil Mishra for not appearing before the court in a criminal defamation case filed by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator Imran Hussain.
"Issue bailable warrants against the accused Kapil Mishra in sum of Rs 10,000 with one surety in the like amount through the DCP concerned for appearance," Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Harvinder Singh stated.

In a piece of good news for Indian Railways employees, the Union Cabinet has granted bonus equivalent to 78 days wages for financial year 2019-20, the national transporter announced on Thursday.
In a statement, the Railway Ministry said, "About 11.58 lakh non-gazetted railway employees have been granted bonus equivalent to 78 days wages for FY 2019-20. This productivity linked bonus to railway employees has been estimated to be of Rs 2,081.68 crore."
The ministry said that the Union Cabinet in its meeting held on Wednesday accepted the proposal of the Ministry of Railways for payment of productivity linked bonus (PLB) equivalent to 78 days wages for the financial year 2019-2020 for all eligible non-gazetted railway employees (excluding RPF/RPSF personnel).

Philippines on Thursday reported 1,664 new Covid-19 cases, pushing the country's tally to 363,888, health officials said.
The Philippines' health department said that 843 more patients have recovered on the same day, raising the total number of recoveries to 312,333, according to media reports.
The death toll has climbed to 6,783 in the country with 38 new fatalities.
The department said it has tested over 4.21 million people nationwide.

Tokyo reported 185 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, taking the total number of infections in the capital to 29,520.
According to the Tokyo metropolitan government's preliminary figures, the latest daily tally marks the third straight day when new cases have been in triple digits, Xinhua news agency reported.
The metropolitan government said of those newly infected, the majority were aged in 20s and 30s, although numbers in their 40s and 50s were also comparatively high.

hree members of a family were killed when their speeding car overturned in Madhya Pradesh's Guna district on Thursday morning, a police official said.
The accident took place near Kalapahad village when the victims were on their way to Chhattarpur from Indore to take part in the post death rituals of an acquaintance.
Prima facie, the car overturned due to high speed near the village, located about 70 km from the district headquarters, Chanchoda police station in-charge Rakesh Gupta said.
