‘Modi Aarti’ to eulogise the Prime Minister organised by BJP minister in Dehradun

“It’s disgusting while millions of people are suffering job loss, hunger and deprivation due to lockdown, senior BJP ministers are indulging in sycophancy,” said Uttarakhand Congress vice-president

Amidst the lockdown and increasing number of cases of infected people surfacing in Uttarakhand, the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has come up with ‘Modi Aarti’ along the lines of religious hymn of ‘Durga Aarti ’ to praise and eulogise Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The ‘Modi Aarti’ was launched at a function presided over by Uttarakhand Higher Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat on Friday.

Meanwhile, Uttarakhand Youth Congress workers today held a protest demonstration against the launch of ‘Modi Aarti’ by a BJP minister. Taking cognizance of the fact that social distance was not maintained, Youth congress workers led by Uttarakhand Congress vice-president Suryukant Dhasmana staged a protest dharna at state Congress office here on Saturday.

“It is utterly disgusting and shameful that while millions of people are suffering job loss, hunger and deprivation due to the lockdown, senior BJP ministers are indulging in such levels of sycophancy. This shows the standard and mind set of BJP leaders at a time when the world and the country is facing an unprecedented situation,” said Dhasmana.
