BJP President Amit Shah’s election meeting with Dalit leaders in Mysuru was disrupted on Friday as slogans were raised against BJP Union Minister Ananth Kumar Hegde comparing Dalits to ‘stray dogs’

BJP President Amit Shah, who was addressing Dalit leaders at an election meeting in Mysuru, Karnataka on Friday, was forced to stop his speech mid-way as the audience started shouting anti-BJP slogans. The Dalit leaders were angry at BJP Union Minister Ananth Kumar Hegde’s comments comparing Dalits to ‘stray dogs’ and on amending the Constitution. Amit Shah later resumed his speech and tried to distance the BJP from it’s own MP Hegde, who is incidentally remains Union Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
