WATCH: Viral video shows Trump watching Capitol attack on monitors in makeshift ‘war room’, family celebrating

The video has been criticised widely by social media users, with many calling it clinching proof that the riots were ‘premeditated’

Even as the US, and the world in general, is still reeling from the audacious attack on Capitol Hill by supporters of outgoing US President Donald Trump, and Trump has since gone on record to condemn the violence, a video has emerged on social media that shows Trump’s team dancing in joy moments before the attack.

The video shows President Donald Trump, his sons Donald Trump Junior and Eric, daughter Ivanka, advisor Kimberly Guilfoyle and other senior officials including White House chief of staff Mark Meadows in a makeshift tent. They can be seen observing the crowd gathered around Capitol Hill on monitors installed in the tent.

The video seems to be recorded right before Donald Trump addressed the gathered crowd and urged them to ‘to fight’ and to ‘take back our country; as he promised to join them, as per a report carried by India Today.

The video has been criticised widely by social media users, with many calling it clinching proof that the riots were ‘premeditated’.

Many other users took to Twitter to post other ‘evidence’ that the attack was indeed ‘planned’ and ‘premeditated’:

In a video posted on YouTube on Thursday and released by the White House, Trump said: “Like all Americans, I am outraged by the violence, lawlessness and mayhem. I immediately deployed the national guard and federal law enforcement to secure the building and expel the intruders.”

“The demonstrators who infiltrated the Capitol have defiled the seat of American democracy,” he added.

Trump also accepted the result of the election and pledged a "smooth transition" of power to Biden.

In an unprecedented assault on democracy in the US, thousands of supporters of Trump stormed the Capitol building on Wednesday and clashed with police, resulting in four deaths and interrupting a constitutional process by Congress to affirm the victory of Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris in the November 3 election.
