Three people have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the CBSE Class 12 Economics paper leak case, the Delhi Police crime branch has said.

Delhi Police have arrested a coaching centre owner and two teachers on suspicion of their involvement in circulating the leaked CBSE question papers on WhatsApp groups, Times of India reported quoting police officials.

The accused teachers, identified as Rishabh and Rohit, reportedly work at a private school in Delhi while the coaching centre is based in Bawana, owned and run by Tauqeer. Rishabh and Rohit took pictures of the Class XII Economics exam papers and sent it to the Tauqeer, who passed it on to his students, according to reports.

The students were charged Rs.2,000-2,500 for accessing the leaked paper, NDTV reported quoting sources in Delhi Police. Investigators said the teachers' share in the money was 50 per cent.

The breakthrough came hours after the crime branch officials questioned a principal and six teachers of three public schools in Delhi in connection with the case.

The accused will be produced in court on Sunday afternoon and taken on police remand for interrogation.
