A year ago FIFA asked football fans who they’d bring to the opening World Cup match at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, and why. The dream came true for Indian fan Adityanshu and Mexican fan Roberto, who won the ‘Bring Someone Special’ contest, and their mother and father, respectively, too!

“When this contest came, ‘Bring Someone Special’ the only answer that came to my mind was my mum,” said Adityanshu. “The most memorable moment for me was when we entered the Luzhniki Stadium and we got to see this arena. This is the biggest spectacle and it could not have been any better.” “Thank you FIFA, thank you Russia,” said Adityanshu’s mom.

Meanwhile Mexican fan Roberto said winning the contest and taking his dad Beto along to Moscow was very special for him, as his father couldn’t attend the FIFA World Cup in 1986 because of his young son. “I’m very happy and all my senses are open to enjoy the World Cup in Russia,” said a beaming Beto.
