After the news of his arrest dominated headlines, #BoycottBollywood started trending on Twitter. Netizens slammed the industry for its “hypocrisy”. Many claimed out that after nepotism, casting couch, and alleged drug abuse, the engagement in producing pornographic content was condemnable.

At least 11 people including Raj Kundra have been arrested in the case for alleged involvement in a case relating to the production of pornography. Kundra was booked under IPC Sections 420 (cheating), 34 (common intention), 292 and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays), and relevant sections of the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.

The Joint Commissioner of Police said that all the pornographic content was being uploaded on a mobile application named Hotshots, which was owned by a London-based company.
